MOTHER OF MERCY
Formed in the spring of 2007 and featuring ex-members of Let Down, Mother of Mercy plays contemporary metallic hardcore that draws some of the best elements of '90s 'core with a well-executed tinge of metal. Their music is raw, abrasive and dark, highly influenced by Samhain, Undertow and Obituary.
Mother of Mercy has spent time on the road alongside bands like Comeback Kid, Dead Swans, Cruel Hand, Title Fight, Foundation, Alpha & Omega, and playing staple hardcore festivals like United Blood, This Is Hardcore, and Sound and Fury. With several prior releases including the No Eden 7" (2008) and critically acclaimed III released in 2009 on Six Feet Under Records and hailed as one of ScenePointBlank's "favorite records of the year," Mother of Mercy's IV: Symptoms of Existence upped the ante in 2011, Alternative Press calling it "an album that is riveting from start to finish."
