Defeater Travels
#B9R107

Release Date: 02/24/2009

Originally released on CD by Topshelf Records in September of 2008, Defeater's album Travels was licensed by Bridge Nine Records and made available on LP (as well as CD) just five months later.  Bridge Nine handled pressing and distribution of the first eight pressings of the LP, until Topshelf Records moved out of the Bridge Nine office and headed to San Diego, California in 2015.  Defeater is one of the most attention-grabbing hardcore bands we've heard in a long time.  Defeater has a wide array of influences and at first listen, you'll hear tracks reminiscent of Botch or Deadguy mixed with traditional hardcore. Ethically influenced by bands like Fugazi, Minor Threat or Modern Life Is War, Travels is challenging to the very notion of what hardcore is and lyrically unlike any album in the last decade.
